Clone High Theme – Abandoned Pools

Does anyone remember the short-lived show on MTV, Clone High? James and I watched it sophomore year in college, it was awesome (Nov 02 – Apr 03). Clone High was set at a high school entirely populated by clones of famous historical figures. I would highly recommend watching a few episodes on YouTube.com.  The main characters were Abe Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Gandhi, Cleopatra and JFK.

Back to the song, this was the theme song of the above mentioned cartoon. It’s funny and really encapsulated the show. Now I know it’s a theme song, but it is so much more than that. The song it actually well written and is catchy as hell. To the songs’ credit it also introduced me to Abandoned Pools.  They also provided much of the series’ background music.  They are a little heavier than the music I normally listen to, but that’s not saying much since I am traditionally into very chill music.

  1. Gosh, I do remember you two watching that show, though I never got into it.

The song certainly is catchy, but, like you, it’s not really my style.

    Still good though.

  2. I absolutely loved Clone High. One of my other old roommates, Sean and I watched this show religiously. Too bad it was canceled. Chances are that if I like a show, it’s doomed not to make it past the first season.

I remember searching for Clone High clips and finding a lot of Abandoned Pools music. We got one of their albums and it was great.
