A.M. 180 – Grandaddy
Just a few posts back, I talked about Jason Lytle and his new solo effort that seems to be going very well. You’ll also note that I intended to look a little deeper into his previous band Grandaddy, and friends, I have done just that. Pretty cool stuff, although a bit different than his current work.
I came across a song that I had heard before and had rather liked. It didn’t take much searching to discover that A.M. 180 was from the 28 Days Later soundtrack, a favorite movie of mine. Remember the scene where the survivors stroll through the empty grocery store picking up anything off the shelves they wanted? Such a cool, happy scene in a dark and desperate time. Yep, that’s where it was playing. If you don’t remember that scene, then it’s been too long, and you’ve got a movie to watch. Enjoy.
